I am a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Philosophy of Law at the University of Pavia (Italy). I work on the legal dimensions of the GENERIC Project, and I am affiliated with the Center for Reasoning, Normativity and AI.
I was awarded a Ph.D. in Legal Studies, summa cum laude, and the title of Doctor Europaeus by the University of Milan (Italy) in November 2025.
My doctoral dissertation examines social customs, their normativity, and how exploring these often-overlooked forms of social regulation leads us to the threshold of law.
I am broadly interested in legal theory, philosophy of normativity and deontic logic. I am especially fascinated by how insights emerging at the intersection of these fields and social ontology can illuminate neglected aspects of social reality.
I undertook several research stays abroad. In April 2023, I was a Visiting PhD Student at the Universidad de Barcelona. From October to November 2023, I joined (as a winning candidate) the LERU Exchange Programme as a Visiting PhD Student at the University of Helsinki, also conducting research at the von Wright and Wittgenstein Archives. From May to June 2024, I was a Visiting PhD Student at the Leopold-Wenger-Institut für Rechtsgeschichte at LMU Munich. Earlier in my education path, from February to May 2021, I conducted research for my Bachelor’s thesis at Columbia University in the City of New York.
Lastly, I was elected as representative of the PhD students of my programme.
